Senior Fire Protection Engineer

With solid local experience, you have a strong design understanding, are team and delivery focused and have a positive attitude and passion for growth.

You have outstanding fire protection experience, significant project management ability, thorough technical understanding and be confident communicating with clients, business partners and contributing to our team success culture.  You hold RPEQ.

About you

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in Australian building services, ideally in consulting

  • Are a registered competent Fire Protection Engineer (REPQ)

  • Leader in your field of expertise

  • Extensive experience with Fire Protection (wet & dry) services engineering concept to construction completion

  • Clear applied knowledge of local building codes and standards both current and previous years (BCA, Ordinance 70, NFPA and Australian Standards for fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrant systems, fire detection and alarm systems, compliance with local fire brigades)

  • Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and National Code of Construction

  • Extensive experience leading and coordinating multi-discipline discipline projects including managing client expectations

  • Proactive and innovative approach to solutions

  • Routinely demonstrate your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, project team and internal teams

  • Passionate about mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven project, organisation and time management skills

  • Use latest technology – REVIT/AutoCAD, BIM360, HYENA, Microsoft Suite including Office and One Drive

  • Revit design and modelling experience highly regarded
