Jordan Springs Community Centre has recently been completed and is open to the general public. Penrith Council’s latest neighbourhood venue was a collaboration between Lendlease and Penrith City Council.
The multi-functional centre is a purpose-built Community Resources hub that also caters for people with disabilities. The centre comprises a hall/ function room, multipurpose activity room, meeting and IT rooms, kitchen facilities, parent’s room, accessible change rooms, covered and open outdoor spaces, car and bicycle parking, barbecue facilities and amenities.
BSE has collaborated with Lendlease to provide all engineering services including electrical, hydraulic, fire, mechanical and sustainability services for design, documentation and construction services.
The 4,000sqm facility is the first public building in NSW to be built with cross-laminated timber (CLT), a more sustainable and efficient form of construction.
