PROJECT | Sutton's Homebush

Sutton’s opened their premier dealership in Homebush, Sydney in January 2024, situated at 112 Parramatta Road, a historic site dating back to 1943, covering 7000 square meters. Extensive modifications and renovations are underway to transform the site into a comprehensive automotive facility featuring sales, servicing, and spare parts amenities. The refurbishment includes enhancements to the ground floor showrooms, expansion of service areas, and adjustments to the external car parking layout to accommodate a new car showroom housing 16 vehicles and space for 60 used cars on the forecourt.

Teaming up with BHI Architects, BSE undertook the provision of electrical, mechanical, and fire protection services across various stages from preliminary design to construction, ensuring seamless integration of essential systems for the dealership's functionality. BSE’s involvement encompasses a comprehensive approach to optimize the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing operational efficiency.

During onsite investigations, BSE identified fire services coverage deficiencies in the existing mezzanine area, posing a significant challenge to the project's safety compliance. Leveraging their expertise, BSE's team devised and implemented a code-compliant strategy to address the fire services coverage issues, effectively mitigating potential risks and ensuring the safety and security of the dealership's operations.
