St Mary Mackillop

Overview

This project involved the refurbishment of an existing science block into a teaching facility and offices and the construction of a new extension to accommodate a new canteen as an Academic Resources Centre. Building scope was single storey with a total GFA of approximately 910m² comprising 660m² of refurbishment, 250m² new building area and a covered outdoor area of 230m². Facilities include canteen/ kitchen, social study and café, offices, meeting and seminar rooms, lecture theatre, general purpose learning areas and amenities.

Scope Delivered

Partnering with CCJ and Manteena, our project team led by Brendon Newham delivered design and documentation for electrical and security services, with communications and dry fire. With an approximate construction value of $5M, this facility provides the school with innovative state of the art lighting design utilising led light fitting and a fully automated lighting control system.

results & Value add

Delivering this scope was incredibly smooth for our team, given a long-standing project partnership with CCJ providing a streamlined scope process and clear design stage. Prioritising buildability, our documentation was produced in colour, with alternatives used for each separate section of design.
